Games and Puzzles in Education
Using puzzles and games across the curriculum can encourage critical
thinking and support the development of problem solving skills. Games and
puzzles can provide students with a context in which to exercise learned
skills, apply knowledge and generate curiosity. Such activities can also
"warm up" the brain and help students focus on a particular topic
or skill.
There is considerable educational value in playing online word games to improve student learning in the areas of:
• Concentration and attention span
• Memory skills
• Hand-eye coordination
• Reading skills
• Writing skills
• Vocabulary and spelling
• Confidence (through relevant feedback)
• Problem solving and critical thinking
We are pleased to offer our free monthly puzzles, ideal for both classroom and home use. Students age 9 thru adult can challenge and expand their skills, memory and general knowledge.
